Ruth Towers - At Home Ruth and Saul Towers at her piano.

Ruth Towers, a native New Yorker, is a graduate of Hunter College, where she majored in Romance languages.

Her prime passion, however, from earliest childhood, was "making music" at the piano. She spent all of the years that she resided in New York studying piano under the guidance of Sophie Nostitz, a most respected and inspiring teacher.

Ruth has been living in Seneca Falls, New York since the time of her marriage, fifty-seven years ago, to Dr. Saul Towers. Her husband has been accompanying Ruth, since his retirement from medical practice, to the various venues of her recitals. She has been performing before a variety of audiences, often for "fund raising" purposes, as well as for "cultural fulfillment," per se.

For over a decade, Ruth has been recording her programs, from facilities at the Eastman School of Music, from Kilbourn Hall, as well as from those at the Hochstein School of Music, from Performance Hall. She distributes the CDs to members of her family, as well as to friends.
